Music : Sam Smith’s James Bond Video

The much-anticipated video for Sam Smith’s James Bond theme “Writing’s on the Wall” just hit YouTube on Sunday and I have to say that it is great. Sam is not the best actor though… I feel that some of his moves and faces felt a bit off, even though he sheds a tear at the end of the video (probably a fake one). But don’t get me wrong, I’m still a huge fan of Sam though and the video is stunning!

Simple, elegant, beautiful and like many Bond music videos, the clip is sparkled throughout with scenes from the upcoming Spectre film.

According to Billboard, Smith’s song is the first Bond theme song to ever hit number one on the UK singles sales chart. (Adele went up to #2)

Check it out below and let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for sharing that new James Bond 007 movie clip. I enjoy watching all of the Bond films. My favorite Bond actors are Connery & Moore. There is just one more movie to add to my collection; that is Spectre.

YouTube has a great New Releases feature. It currently lists artists such a Ryan Adams, Florence and the Machune, Imagine Dragons … and many others … with fresh relases.

he’s no Shirley Bassey… google her kids

There was a lot of hype around this song but I gotta say Skyfall was so much better. This one ranks 3rd to me, even the Casino Royal theme song was better, Skyfall ranks 1st in my book.

Don’t don’t make Bond songs and videos like they did…Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Duran Duran. I don’t want Sam Smith nor Adele singing a James Bond song.

Sorry…I cannot stand Sam Smith. He is not attractive at all…hate his haircut. Hate his voice. In the car, when one of his songs comes on, change the channel.

This is hands down the worst Bond theme ever, the only thing that could have been worse would have been hip-hop and I’m sure the Bond people will try that next. This song is a sad pathetic whining mess. It’s no surprise that they chose such a sorry excuse for a song since all the Bond films have gone straight down the toilet for a long time now. Today’s Bond films are virtually no different from any other generic action adventure film where the sole and only purpose seems to be how many cars can be crashed and how many buildings can be blown up. The early Bond films (60’s & 70’s) were in a class by themselves…in fact they HAD class, which the current ones do not. I stopped seeing these in theatres years ago and even when they come on cable I can only stand to watch less than half of it because they don’t even seem like Bond movies anymore….As for the theme song, if you want to hear what a real Bond theme should sound like, take a listen to the two best Bond themes ever….”Diamonds Are Forever” and “Moonraker”….of course “Goldfinger” comes in a close second.

Well it looks like Sam and Bond were kind of a bust based upon posts. But then again how about the YouTube New Releases feature, eh?
