Does the ‘droid app work this time? By that I mean, does message notification work? Does it turn off when “no notifications” is the active choice on my Android device?
Does it continue to show notifications for “new” mail when an old message remains unread?
Color me cynical, but the app for A4A is among the most problematic of any I’ve used. Considering I can’t get simple support questions about the web site interface answered I don’t have much hope for app development.
I’m curious what the benefits of using Radar are over just accessing A4A’s mobile site on my Android. Is it different?

I got an auto-update from Google Play and there’s a newly-facelifted app now that functions similarly to the old, but with more features. I’m assuming that this is the “new” app, right? Seems to work pretty slick.
MistrFistr: Yeah but we will have new fully redesigned iOS and new Android apps in few months. Many things coming at A4A 🙂
I get full access to the PC version of the site on my Droid MAX. No fuss with having to figure out which configuration I’m on and no navigation issues. Why do I need the ap?
Well, it’s all academic to me, anyway…I just use A4A as a chat medium; I gave up hooking up on this eons ago. To meet guys, I went back to my roots…parties, events and dance bars! Works slicker than that app EVER will, and NO nasty surprises!
Are “adult” member pics still blocked in the APP version?
Matt : yes of course… and it is because android and apple doesn’t accept xxx pics
I’d like to say I love it, but the new one is markedly worse than the old version. It logs me out every time I close the app, half of the search options that were previously available are no longer there, and invariably it gets my current location wrong. I think further updates are needed
nope the new app is a steaming pile on my phone just updated it from the old one that had kind of sorta started working again and now, crash crash crash, this app has stopped responding nothing works except it takes my login name and password.
o))) 4radar is nice I use it everyday but wish they paid more to details or offer more services
