Sexuality: What Survey Says on Straight Men’s Porn and Sex Habits

(Photo Credits: MEN – Save 50% Today)

An interesting survey says that almost a quarter of their respondents —23% to be exact and all of whom are straight male—watch gay porn. Further, 60% of these straight men said that for the past 5 years, their porn preferences have remained the same. Surprisingly, or maybe not as it really depends on how you see it I guess, the participants were asked if they’ve had sex with someone of the same gender and 24% answered yes. In addition, a whopping 51% of the straight male respondents have never participated in group sex but would love to.

Looking at the figures, almost one in four straight men watches gay porn and/or had sex with other men and if their porn preferences are constant then they’d been watching gay porn for 5 years already, maybe more. Does this apply to their sex life, too or was the sex simply a one-time thing for them? More importantly, do these figures seem surprising to you or not at all? Why or why not? Also, following the logic of the study, do these figures mean that at least one in four guys with whom gay men had sex with are straight? Of course studies are subject to errors but color me curious.

There are still plenty of questions, yes? But if there’s one thing that’s certain it’s that the result is not surprising at all. And if anything, it seemed consistent with the previous study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior that says 21% of straight men watch gay porn.

As for the reasons why straight men have sex with men, some people argue that sex is simply that—sex. They say some straight men like to have sex with people who do not come with strings attached like most women do, who require romance and all before sex.

I just chuckle at these “straight” men who watch gay porn and have gay sex. Yeah . . . call yourselves whatever you want, but you don’t seem to be walkin’ a very “straight” line. We are told repeatedly that the gay population is about 5 to 10% of the population. Factoring in the “straight” gays that are really gay — and can’t seem to admit it — we probably make up 10 to 20% of the population.

Hello…Once a straight guy has had sex with me, I feel he is no longer straight….I’ve turned a few straight guys, Bi…..at least….Lol

The straight men I’ve met mostly were looking for a blow job. One was curious to try topping, but only once then back to getting blown. I’d guess that getting a blow job doesn’t seem too gay to them and more like getting off with a helping mouth and hands, but not crossing a line.

If males can “identify” as females and so on, then sexuality is also whatever someone “identifies” as. I’m gay. I enjoy only male/male sex, but I am not “gay” because “gay” is a political mindset not a sexual orientation. I am a male that is interested in males.

agreed. i consider myself sexually fluid. i’m a former “straight’ guy who still isn’t comfortable with being identified so generally. “gay” is more of a social culture like “skater” “hipster” or “cyberpunk” than an accurate description of individual sexual proclivity. i remember the first time I heard “msm” I thought, “that’s a brilliant spot-on (and non-threatening) way of describing men who have sex with men.”

Years ago, a very straight me stumbled upon pvtglryholenyc of xtube fame. Watching him give regular dudes gloryhole fellatio was crazy different, and certainly garnered my interest. After a while this handsome bi dude [lol, never saw his face, but somehow I know he is handsome] had my full attention and was a regular weekly go to … I watched his videos for about 5 years before I would even consider writing him a comment. After that I constantly had the thought that watching a guy do that was a big interest. I still have very little experience but I know where my interests lie.

If it looks like a straight guy…
And walks like a straight guy…
And talks like a straight guy,
    It’s probably a straight guy.

Well, maybe 60 to 70% of the time.

In my opinion, sexuality is a gradient scale from 100% straight on one end to 100% gay on the other and bisexuality rules the middle ground. I’ve known guys that say they are straight (have girlfriends or wives) but will have sex with a man after couple of beers. Others swear they are bisexual but I’ve only known them to have sex with men.
I think the number is larger than 23% as to those who identify as straight but have had sex with men.

Once a guy crosses the line and has sex with another guy his straight life style has ended. He can be bi but the straight days are over. When they do it once they are hooked.

I wonder what the study says about women? Not that I care, just wondering.

All very true…. if you’re curious to begin with, then you try it, chances are you’ll like it and you’re hooked….. you get deeper and deeper into and next thing you know you’re doing things you said you would never do BUT for me it’s all about the sex…… I do enjoy it almost as much as sex with a woman. But i would never leave my wife for another man… I don’t have those kinds of feelings for a guy….. wait what was it I said about doing things I said I would never do….. nevermind…. LOL

We keep talking about this, don’t we? No, no one is surprised, or shouldn’t be by now. As long as ‘he’ is (not) in a relationship at the time of ‘our thing’, I’m down. The bi-men I tend to meet, I actually prefer, sex w/bi-men, its their personalities; tend to be easier to be with for some reason, maybe its just me.

I fucked my first pussy when I was 13 years old. I got my first blow job (from a guy) when I was 15. A neighbor came home from college for the summer and showed me what he learned on campus. He sucked my cock 3-4 times every week that summer. What I also learned that summer was that while I had to work at getting pussy to fuck it was easy to find a hungry cocksucker (no wining and dining necessary). I guess that is when I became bi. When I was 18 I received my first rim job (from a guy). There was no turning back. I love my asshole kissed, licked and tongued. I have come across only one female that licked my ass and certainly not with the gusto of the guys that have serviced me.

So, from my point of view, I don’t understand why more men don’t avail themselves to the oral pleasures that many guys are willing to provide.

i have an assoc. that i an very fond of and told him after four years! He has always known that i was gay. After I told him he was angry that i approached him saying that i liked him. Four years later ( a week ago) he told me he would “try me”, but i talk too much! Then he said “if you ever “try me, i will knock your head of!” talking about a confused man!

I believe that more and more men are coming to realize that having sex with another man is a great NSA way to get some sexual enjoyment. With more and more acceptance of gay people,
straight men don’t feel nearly as threatened by them. Not to mention the fact that men are more likely to agree to a one time meeting with no expectations for later. And men are much less likely to talk about it after the fact.

I see lots of evidence that straight men have realized this is a great way to satisfy their sexual desires. I believe men have an in-born curiosity and attraction to other men’s genitals and
curiosity about what m2m sex would feel like. Greater acceptance and awareness of gays makes it easier to act on your feelings.

Seems to me those numbers are way low…

A straight (or heterosexual) man is a man who is sexually interested in WOMEN ONLY. A gay (or homosexual) man is a man who is sexually interested in MEN ONLY. A bisexual man is a man who is sexually interested in BOTH MEN AND WOMEN. Let us stick to the definitions (used by psychology textbooks, for instance). Otherwise, we will NOT be able to communicate with one another since one person will use a term to mean one thing while another person will use the same term to mean something else.

Now, this is “Adam” for “Adam”, hence men on this site are either gay (or homosexual) OR bisexual. Why would they be interested in straight (or heterosexual) men who, BY DEFINITION, are sexually interested in WOMEN ONLY? If a so-called “straight” (or “heterosexual”) man is also sexually interested in men, then they are BISEXUAL (probably latent) and NOT “straight” (or heterosexual). We have to accept that there are are men who are sexually interested in WOMEN ONLY while there are men who are sexually interested in MEN ONLY, with the BISEXUAL men in-between the two groups.

What is this outlandish obsession with men who are sexually interested in WOMEN ONLY from some men in the gay or bisexual communities?

    • MrBlack

Any mention of being straight on the site is them saying they’re masculine/prefer masculine regardless of sexual attraction. Not the image most ppl initially think of with the term “gay”

When is the obvious going to occur to you? Your tired old gay/straight paradigms are nothing more than homophobia. Please wake up.
