iPhone X Ad Highlights Australian Same-Sex Marriages
Since it legalized same-sex marriage last year, Australia has continued to bask in all the positivity that piece of legislation has brought. Because of last year’s postal survey, the Australia Post enjoyed a revenue boost. Now, Apple is using the same-sex marriages celebrated last December and January in an emotional ad for the iPhone X.
Filmed using Apple’s flagship phone, the one-minute ad titled “First Dance” shows exactly that — the first dances of Australian couple who got married as soon as it became legal Down Under. Aside from the one-minute ad, there are also three 15-second ads focusing on the couples Nick and Rob, Meg and Anne-Marie, and Anthony and Ron.

Call me old fashioned, but the idea of 2 men being each other’s “husband”, or 2 women calling each other “wife” is the height of absurdity. Gay men trying to mimic the institution of marriage is so wrong. We are men. We LOVE men. We may “love” one man in particular on an emotional level, but which one of you, given the chance, wouldn’t indulge your fantasy for a sexy stranger as often as you could? We should celebrate our connection to each other. Gay men are very tribal. If you’ve ever danced in a club surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of shirtless sweaty men, you’ll understand. Those who want to emulate the heterosexual institution of marriage are the true haters of self, desperately trying to fit a square peg in a round hole hoping to achieve the socialist ideals of “equality” .

Secondly, you’re confusing sex-lust with love; completely, two different things… sex, is not love, its just that, sex. Apple is going to go after any demographic it can. Just like any smart company. They’ll “market” to anyone they can.

What a complete joke, on so many levels, when it comes to this topic of SSM…I’ve been trying to figure out for the life of me, why would gay ppl want the headache of marriage, when it’s all a bunch of bullshit, if you saw your parents in a fucked up/miserable marriage, the patterns repeat, or, go the alternate route; I’ve seen dudes with fuck’d up upbringings, because the fathers were assholes, or, have either been ran off, pick the worst of men. One guy handed me an excuse for why he treats men the way he treats them; his daddy’s a beater/cheater/player, so in saying, like father, like son, only his bfs tapped his ass, because he got caught cheating, like his daddy did his mother…for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part…I can smell the divorce rates climbing! Before you say I do, just remember that WITHOUT that prenup, they get ½, I know I would! When PoC are given the respect that’s due, then and only then, will I care about the “marriage equality” for gays and lesbians…
