News : Barcelona Terror Attack Left 13 Dead, 50 Injured (Graphic Video)

Photo Credits: Screengrab from BBC News YouTube Barcelona, Spain—Spanish officials confirmed 13 people died and at least 50 were injured (10 of them in serious condition) in an incident in Barcelona on Thursday that is now being treated as a terror attack by the authorities. Further, officials are said to have released the photo of one of the suspects named Driss Oukabir, the man allegedly responsible for renting the white van that mowed down the pedestrians in a crowded area of Las Ramblas near Plaça de Catalunya. The place is said to be a famous tourist spot in Barcelona. Barcelona, however, is especially teeming with people right now because of the ongoing two-week Circuit Festival which is said to be the largest gay summer festival in the world.

Reports say two people were arrested in connection with the attack while according to Reuters, a second van believed to have been used as a getaway vehicle was found by the police in a small Catalonia town called Vic. BBC on the other hand, reported that one suspect died following shootout with police.
