Style : 5 Tips To Smell Good All Day

Photo : Armani Privé

Gay men share a special bond with their favorite fragrance. Most of them include it into their morning grooming rituals, use it as an attraction power to feed off other males in clubs, to seduce on a date or even to boost their confidence. Here are some suggestions that will help you keep the smell longer :

1- Moisturize your skin

Skincare experts say that fragrances last longer on hydrated skin as dryness reduces the length of smell a smell will last after absorption. They suggest an unscented long lasting cream so that the smell of the cream doesn’t interfere with the fragrance.

2- Use a cotton ball

Spray your favorite juice on a cotton ball. Then spread it across the skin of your body. Recycle these cotton ball and put them all in your t-shirt drawer. The smell will stay in your drawer and your clothes will absorb it.

3- Drip some in your clothes steamer

Some of you who work in office and have to look sharp to meet clients, because of your position or simply because you like to be wrinkle-free are already familiar with clothes steamer. Knowing that cologne has a strong attraction to fabrics, simply put few drops of your favorite potion into the steamer and use it on your shirts, blazers or even t-shirts.

4- Dip your clothes in perfumed water

A simple way to make sure you will smell fresh all day long is to simply dip your clothes in cold water and spray your cologne. This will simply leave your underwear, t-shirts and balls smelling like a boss when comes your Adam4Adam hookup!

5- Store your perfume properly

It is also important to know that your perfume should be stored outside the bathroom. Excessive heat, shower steam and bright light can affect the top notes of your fragrance. Store them in their original boxes or in a linen closet.

For those who are curious to know which fragrances I am wearing, I wear Armani Privé Bois d’Encens during the fall and winter season (pictured on top). It is very woody and round, with a touch of incense, very masculine, it almost smells like you are in the middle of a luxurious forest, I love it. My spring and summer fragrance is much more light. It is Voyage d’Hermès. It’s a unisex potion, very light and fresh, with pepper, white wood and lemon notes.

What are yours?

We had a manager once who must have followed these rules. If you entered a conference room after his meeting there just prior, you knew that “Kevin was just here”.

The whole world should never be subjected to your chosen smell. Go with the age-old rule … as you dress, give a quick spritz of your favorite smell in the air in front of you and walk through it. That’s more than enough. Only people who get close to you will know, will need to know.

Companies now are enacting “too much smell of you!” rules in the workplace because employees are overloading themselves on others with lotions, perfumes, colognes, etc. with no consideration of how their smell affects others. The rules are mostly to help those employees with allergies, but are for the benefit of all.

You don’t want to be Kevin. No one ever said they appreciated knowing he had been in the room before them.

Hunter your spot on. A little goes a long way. The hint of a good scent will make your partner hunger for more..Personally I think fragrance should be used for a more intimate setting. Nothing like stimulating the sense of smell before that special moment…

ISSEY MIYAKE – it will literally bring me to my knees (it has on a few dance floors in some dark bars). I can pick up its fragrance at 100yaeds. If a 26yo 6’3″ muscle bound jock happens to have it on, I will literally loose my mind. It’s like cat nip to me. My last BF bought it by the gallon. He won more arguements because he smelled good then he should have.

I also like Armani Code. But has to be on an older 30+ yo. Construction worker type.

I have 4 different ones i wear 1 was given by a exgf Aramis it’s kind of dark n spicy, i was given a sampler set years ago by my exwife one was Giorgio Beverly Hills it’s light and lively, deff high on my list of old school faves. Givenchy not sure of the name but it has the PIE symbol on it. My newest fave is Versace Eros. the last 2 i sampled them at YOUNKERS last year and found them on E-BAY for half of the price. any of those i could be wearing if i’m out on the prowl for a guy or out drinking dancing and partying. then i have some cheap stuff for hanging with family or str8 friends. I can’t remember the fragrance a former FWB used to wear but it never failed to get a rise out of me. I loved when he would stay over i would snuggle with the pillow he had slept on for nights afterwards it would always give me good dreams even if he wasn’t there. Give any of the four listed above the sniff test guys ya can’t go wrong…. D

Chrome by Azzaro: A small amount lasts all day.

Doesn’t tip #4 defeat the purpose by watering down the scent? This option would take a lot of cologne, which is very expensive.

Skin Bracer by Mennen is about $5 a bottle. You’ll smell like daddy. This subconsciously calms some men an arouses others. Costs about $5 for a year’s supply.

If that’s too butch for you but you still need to economize, you can go with the department store fragrances by buying the soap instead of the cologne. It’s a bit more subtle and won’t enflame your co-workers’ sinuses.

I beg you, stay away from body spray.

I wear Vytevier by Grulain. Creed, Tom Ford and others have released similar fragrances but the original is best. I wear year round because it is crisp, masculine, timeless and has a fun maturity to it. I have never met a man wearing the scent that I didn’t think was attractive, friendly and engaging. People will often ask what I’m wearing because while distinct, it does not offend.
    Leaves others wanting more.

smelling like you just got out of a tub of cologne is NOT the same as smelling fresh. Colognes/perfumes were invented in part to cover the stink of our ancestors who did not have the luxury of running water.

    Fall – Montblanc
    Winter – Guilty by Gucci
    Spring – Versace pour homme
    Summer – Chrome by Azzaro
Backups – YSL pour homme, D&G Sport, Aqua di Gio

  9. Exmil

Jovan musk with athena 10x added to it…very very lightly applied to the neck chest and just below the ears then run the fingers through my hair…works every time to drive men and women crazy and makes my own dick hard as a rock whwn the heat rises and it starts putting out its incredible scent. It will turn heads because of the athena 10x…

Hugo by Hugo Boss- fresh light woodsie manly fragrance. A light tap on the front of my neck and then the back of my hairlne, lasts a long time not heavy or too spicy.
