The survey also revealed that gay and bisexual people use more than just their hands when pleasuring themselves. Sex toys were used by 46 percent of the gay and bisexual respondents. Only 30 percent of the heterosexual respondents admitted to doing the same.
Gay people are also much more open when it comes to talking about sexual topics, according to the survey. Seventy-two percent of LGBTQ people interviewed believed society would benefit from talking much more openly about sex, dwarfing the 44 percent of heterosexual people who said the same.
