Equality : Facebook Releases “Pride” Reaction Emoji

To celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month, Facebook announced last Friday that they added “Pride” reaction on top of the six regular emojis that Facebook users can choose from daily: “Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry.” Facebook said in a statement, “We believe in building a platform that supports all communities. So we’re celebrating love and diversity this Pride by giving you a special reaction to use during Pride Month.”
The Pride reaction emoji is in the form of a little rainbow flag. The iconic rainbow flag as we all know, was made by Gilbert Baker who passed away this March 2017. The flag is now known throughout the world as the symbol of gay pride.
If you are not seeing the new Pride reaction emoji yet and you want to use it, you simply have to go and like [email protected] [email protected] is the official LGBTQ resource page for Facebook which you can access here.
The Pride reaction will be available to Facebook users during the entire Pride month only. However, if the feature is something that you would like to remain permanently, you can let Facebook know here.
