Health: Exercises For Erectile Dysfunction

As bad as it sounds, erectile dysfunction is something that you’re going to have to deal with as you get older. It’s a big enough problem that a whole industry has sprung around it, such as pharmaceutical aids like Viagra and this supplement that aims to raise your testosterone level.

But pharmaceutical isn’t the only way to go. According to a scientific study conducted by the University of the West in the United Kingdom, pelvic exercises and pelvic muscle training has helped men with erectile dysfunction regain normal erectile function.

If you’re looking to try out these pelvic exercises, here are two exercises that have been known to improve the situation when it comes to your erection.

Kegel Exercises

Yes, you usually associate Kegel exercises with women, but doing it can also help you out with erectile dysfunction. So how do you do it if you’re a guy? First, you find out the muscles of your pelvic floor. You do this by stopping your stream several times in the middle of urination. The muscle you use to do that are the ones you need to work on.

Once you’ve located those muscles, squeeze them for five seconds, then relax. Repeat this 10 to 20 times, two or three times a day. You’ve just performed Kegel exercises!

If you’re finding it hard to do Kegel exercises this way, there’s another way to do it. Rather than squeezing your pelvic floor muscles, you can squeeze the muscles of your anus, like you’re stopping yourself from taking a dump. Hold that for five to 10 seconds, then relax.

Aerobic Exercises

As you guys all know, dicks get hard when blood flows into them. If you’re having cardiovascular problems, you’re probably having problems with blood flow, which in turn can also result in erectile dysfunction.

If you’re obese, diabetic, or have high cholesterol, it’s probably affecting your erections as well. By doing more aerobic exercises, you’re not only improving your overall health, but your erections as well. Even brisk walking 30 minutes a day, three or four times a week, can impact not just your erections, but your overall health as well.

Hopefully, these exercises help out. If you’re struggled with erectile dysfunction before but have managed to overcome it, tell us how! Share your tips with the rest of the Adam4Adam community in the comments section below!

I have been doing the Kegel exercise for a while and have to add that I use a butt plug while performing my Kegels. It helps and with the plug, it intensifies the pleasure. Prostate massages help too.
