Style : Spring Will be Navy, Red and White!

This season’s biggest trend for men is inspired by the ocean. Everything related to to it, whether it is boats, fish, turtles, shells, red/navy stripes, white color, starfish, nets, navy camo, blue denim, white shoes, navy/white stripes etc. Navy double-breasted blazers are worn over everything, pants are cropped, accessories are also fun and fresh, sandals are bold and bright, shirts are wide and printed and the collar-camp is everywhere (notice the collar on the shirt below, that’s what we call a collar-camp).

Below are some of my favorites for the hot season, they are designer items so they are very pricy and just as a reference. You will be able to buy similar styles everywhere like Zara, H&M, Club Monaco, J.Crew and other affordable stores around the country. I don’t suggest spending hundreds on one piece unless it is a bag, a jacket, a blazer or shoes. You can carry these to the next couple of seasons so they are worth the investment, but T-shirts, sweaters and cotton pants are usually discolored or you simply get tired of them…So I suggest you buy affordable ones.

Tell me if you like that trend and if you think you’ll buy items from that trend? It is my personal favorite trend. Even when it’s not trendy, I dress in navy and white all the time. I’ll try to incorporate a bit of red to make it fresh this season. For me this trend is like a classic one it comes back almost every spring. Perfect timing for me to use that trend because I’m in St. Martin in the Caribbean right now so I’ll try to post photos of me on my Instagram, so follow me. FYI, I will keep on posting on the blog next week even if I’m off, I need to keep you guys busy reading… Have a good week!

Dave

I don’t believe that grown men need a theme in order to dress. adults wear clothes, not costumes.

if you know your silhouette and optimal colors, you don’t need to be herded to the store to follow someone else’s opinion.

you don’t need fashion if you have style.

if this looks like a costume, what is Lady gaga wearing?
These are very basic clothes to me.
Show us what you wear Eric, maybe you’ll start a new trend, you seem to be someone with amazing style.

Not a trend I care for so I will continue to stick with my basic all-black wardrobe. It has served me years. These might go over if you live in Nantucket or Miami…or wherever one might have drinks with Muffy, Buffy and Ken, but I think anywhere else these looks might come off as pretentious.

I have never seen the point of wearing what others are wearing. Fashion sucks. It’s so uncreative. Dictating clothing is the opposite of fashion.

ahaha no it’s not. She was wearing Gucci…Gucci is very trendy right now though, they changed designer few seasons ago and all the fashionistas are wearing the brand.

No thanks. Not on me and not what I look for guys to wear. These are clothes for the young urban, trendy, smooth, femmie, stereotypical gay guy. Not like guys I know or ever see. Hey, if they float your boat, fine, of course. If having to have and wear them is needed for your self-esteem, fine as well.

you criticize people for putting other people in boxes and guess what you’re doing? Putting other gays in boxes…
Get a life Hunter and let other think whatever they want. If you dont like it just shut up and dont read the damn article…

You chatize and insult posters here when they don’t toe your own views of dress, music, politics, and the spectrum of what it means to be a gay man. Everyone has a right to define their own box. You need to respect the fact that everyone’s box isn’t just like intollerant, hypocritical Dave’s.
