Happy New Year from A4A!
The past year has been tumultuous, to say the least.
We saw the election of Donald Trump into the US presidency, and the complete domination of the Republican party in both Senate and the House.
We witnessed the Olympics, and how several closeted athletes may have potentially been put in danger by a careless journalist.
We lost icons like Debbie Reynolds, George Michael, Carrie Fisher, David Bowie, Prince and the husband of my favorite singer Celine, Rene Angelil. And we also witnessed in horror as 49 of our own died at Pulse.
But we also saw heroes rise from the tragedy that was Pulse. We saw ordinary citizens show their opposition to anti-LGBTQ politicians in a unique way. And we saw love win in places you don’t usually expect.
Whatever’s in store for us in 2017, good or bad, all of you can be sure that we here at A4A will be right there with you. Happy New Year to all of you!
