Watch This : Tide 1, Anti-Gay Bigots 0

Tide, the detergent company, spoofs anti-gay bigot Kim Davis with a progressive new ad. The new commercial for Tide To Go is tackling the marriage equality debate right on! At the beginning of the short clip, a gay couple in tuxes walk up to the church to get married, but are suddenly stopped by a mean looking woman who declares she won’t let them: “I won’t let you blemish the sanctity of marriage!” she said.

As the guys are about to debate their opinion at this Kim Davis copycat, we figure out that she’s talking about the stain on one of their shirts. One little swipe of the Tide To Go pen, and the stain is gone.

Oh, here we go…cute ad, very topical (and that Tide stick DOES NOT WORK on tomato stain, by the way)…and HEEEEEEEEERE comes the backlash and eventual boycott against Proctor & Gamble. Remember, it was these same nuts who hate us who mounted the boycott against them back when they still had the “man in the moon” trademark (it was a “symbol of Satan,” said the loons), and guess what….P&G CAVED. Will they bow down to the church nutters again? Times have changed…we shall see…but you youngsters need to take a tip from an old head (Yes, Dave, that’s ME, the “angry old man”)…be prepared for the backlash and handle it PROPERLY and PERMANENTLY. We’ve come too far to let a bunch of morons screw us up. Just do it RIGHT…don’t throw too much in their face, be logical and systematic. Logic screws up the nutters EVERY TIME.

I think gay men are just too dramatic at times. And they love it. Always want to keep things worked up. It’s always hey look at me. I’m 58 and I know what I’m talking about. I never could deal with the drama. How many situations have I been in for the past 40 years that this is the case. Too many to count.

For me, it’s short, sweet and to the point. Pretty “matter of fact”. Like being gay and marrying is nothing anyone has to send out an All Points Bulletin about anymore.

Uh, wasn’t that the goal? Equality?

Not a good ad. no gay folks I know of have been married in a church. I’m sure there may be exceptions but why poke the bear with a stick. Keep it at Unity or a legally sanctioned official

Very cheeky….(LOL, please don’t miss the sarcasm). Sadly, in my own, albeit, unqualified experience, although it has proven consistent, some of the most bigoted people I have met ARE gay (please note, I’m not a hater, and am gay myself). It’s truly disgraceful that in all of their “political correctness”, the gay “community” is very unevolved in this EXTREMELY important area. Ask any gay man who’s over 50–elders, those who built the pillars upon which the younger generations so blithely stand, and pass judgment within their own community against its truly marginalized members–the elderly, and the ill. It is truly a disgrace, and one which will visit upon future generations. Be sure the other shoe will drop. It truly disgusts me that those who fought for the much taken for granted privileges for which the older generations, even giving their lives are being excluded from the very dignities for which they fought so long and so hard. Wake up children! You’re no better than the haters you like to hate so much. Shame!!!

Well you have Kim Davis talking about the sanctity of marriage and shes been married 4 times. Then you have Josh Duggar fighting gay marriage and hes out molesting his sisters or online at some cheating site. These bible thumpers are not godly people, they are sinners that are being exposed as the phoney hypocrites that they are

Sorry but doesnt look like Kim whats-her-name…more like Margret Thatcher..and cant be Kim if at a church…now the courthouse or clerks office…

There is a problem when a gay marriage argument has to be furthered by a Tide commercial. A Tide commercial, really? they failed the political correctness checklist. They forgot to include an Asian priest, the woman should’ve been Latino, one of the men should’ve been black, and you forgot the Lesbians and where were the Trans people? Lets not forget to make sure to take every single cross out of the shots because let’s be honest here, political correctness means nothing more than shunning the Christians because they do not help at the poles, and enabling the poor to stay poor. I better not see this ad on TV cause if I do, I will never watch that channel again. Political correctness is a joke. It is impossible to not offend someone. Especially the politically-correct enabled LGBT’s who get offended when someone says they don’t like their belief. Political correctness is nothing but a sad attempt from the Democrats to make the people feel they actually care about them when all they see a crowd of people as is a bunch of paper numbers at the poles. People, wake up!
