My gay buds are split about 50/50 between those that lean Liberal and those that lean Conservative. Same for my straight friends, most of whom are supportive of gays or don’t care about anyone’s sexual orientation. Further, gays and their supporters and detractors are not camped in or out in Christianity or any one religion.

Use extremist weasel words like “all” and “none” and “every” etc. to argue against statements that no one made is a rhetorical tactic, but not a very clever one. But to address your points, I know math, science, and numbers are difficult for certain political groups to accept, but if your claims about your gay friends are true, they are an anomaly: polls and surveys of gays continue to show that gays skew heavily Democratic in partisan identification and even more heavily liberal in political ideology.
It’s easy to understand why. The Republican Party platform continues to be an outdated documented opposed to freedom, equality, and opportunity for minority and underprivileged groups, gays included. By contrast, gay equality is written into the Democratic Party platform. Gays, like most Americans, are able to recognize that those still arguing for gay discrimination by comparing gays to child molesters and worse (under the ruse of “religious freedom”) are always Rethuglicans — like the Palins, Huckabees, and Duggars.
The notion that polls and numbers can be unskewed and that gays and their allies are not capable of standing that the Republican Party is opposed to civil rights for gays in contrast to the Democrats is right up there with the GOP’s 2012 “Romney in a landslide” pontifications. I may not know the context in where the pictures were taken, I personally find it stupid for people to take nudes in the first place but this is my opinion:
If these pictures were ‘leaked’ that means that he didn’t want them to be seen by the general public, so by treating him like a piece of sex meat and throwing him to the horny wolves across the internet who’ll probably spread it further you’re just promoting the thought that we humans are nothing but a bunch of perverted nymphomaniacs (the gay community is just specially targeted with this because of closeted emotions).
