Music : Taylor Or Beyonce & Nicki

bey

Last night was the Billboard Music Award where Taylor Swift officially launched her highly anticipated music video for Bad Blood. The super high-tech video features a bunch of celebs including Cindy Crawford. Taylor plays the role of what seems to be a Superwoman with crazy powers.

During the Billboard, Nicki performed with David Guetta but that is not what everybody’s talking about today, the performance was simply too average. The buzz today is around her latest music video with Beyonce for Feeling Myself. The Queen of Rap and Queen B released their music video exclusively through Tidal, Jay Z’s streaming music service. The video, which appears to be filmed entirely at this year’s Coachella festival, shows the two megastars relaxing in one-piece swimsuits, lounging in a chic pad, chowing down on hamburgers and discussing bubblegum…

Check out Taylor’s video in its entirety and Nicki/Beyonce’s video teaser below. If you you are a member of Tidal, click here to get access to see the full video.

Let me know which one you like best! I personally like both, but I have a thing for Nicki. I think she is super talented and I always love her lyrics and how she doesn’t care about what other people say.

beyond noseholes (beyonce knowles) is the most talentless piece of trash to ever enter the music industry. it makes me want to vomit everytime I hear that ugly moon-face crater mentioned. not only a woman that is pitch-deaf and sounds like fingernails scraping down a blackboard, but she has the nerve to think she has any sort of talent, and she falls and collapses on stage on a regular basis, a woman with countless scandals, and the most foolish piece of trash to ever enter the music industry, and it is so sad that anyone gives this wreck of a woman any credibility at all. she has zero. not only that, but her face is so contorted that it makes corpses on Halloween want to stay in their graves for fear of seeing her ugly face.

Please stop saying nicki is the queen of rap Lil kim os get ur facts stright an please know that the queen bey isnt queen b nicki is pop artiest an please what makes her the queen of rap when she does pop an its org. But she open new females to start pop rap that what she did open other then that she hasnt done shit

  3. OnlyTellTheTruth

They are both horrible. This is what “pop” music is today. Meaningless, no feeling, souless garbage.

  4. Hunter0500

Taylor, Beyonce and Niki don’t hit any notes for me personally.

It was great to see awards given to artists such as Hozier, John Legend, Florida Georgia line and Jason Aldean. I’ll be looking into them further.

  5. Rad20

Nicki and Bey are simply amazing :)) and Taylor’s video is perfection but between the two, #TeamNicki all the way 😀

  6. Billy

Taylor is soooo much more professional than B and Nickki by a long shot, I was not a big fan of Taylor until she was a mentor on the voice.. I than realized how mature and professional she has become

  7. Pierce.mn1

None of them. I’m much more interested in artists who don’t just use their top voice to sing. Give me Barbara Cook, Rosemary Clooney, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Linda Ronstadt over these singers. I have started loving jazz and jazz, although there I tend to lean toward the men: Dave Brubeck, B.B. King, Stan Getz and of course, the remarkable Janis Joplin!

Pop music now is generally lousy, so I pretty much avoid it, although occasionally, I come across someone who interests me. I do like Rufus Wainwright, Robbie Williams and some others.

  8. Reardriver

Yet another over sold and under delivered song by Taylor Swift! So over produced and auto tuned it would be nice to hear her sign without any backup or studio editing, just her and a microphone..oh wait we did see that a few years ago at the Grammys when she was the darling of the night, and she had a duet with Stevie Nicks(who has done numerous duets with great voices through the years) even she couldn’t make Taylors subpar voice sound better..don,t believe me? I’m sure you can youtube it!

  9. Richard

I am so tired of celebrity. It’s a religion , people worship these people. Those three ladies are overated. I could care less about these people.

  10. Mark

Please think of your target audience before posting these articles. The vast majority of us aren’t interested in these women and their “music”, even the ones interested in pop.
It doesn’t appeal to a gay audience.

    • blog

Mark: Not because YOU dont like it that other don’t like it. Thanks for your suggestion, but I am totally aware of our audience…
If you don’t like it’s ok, but respect others who do.

  11. Robert

Umm, they all stink but the real show stopping talentless turd of the night was Kanye West! 80 percent of his performance was bleeped. I was beginning to think my audio on my tv was screwing up or they were having technical problems…and the video!!! Never saw his puke-filled mouth once, not that anyone would want to see the sourpuss. The video almost made me think Isis had gotten ahold of him and torched his pathetic ass.

  12. Kenny

Nicki and Beyoncé should take something from Taylor and I don’t even like Taylor but Nicki and Beyoncé are over rated

  13. Dave

I’m sorry but I’m team Taylor. And not even a big Taylor Swift fan and just five seconds of Niki’s video clinch that for me

  14. Chris - (TChristopher1)

I listened (or tried to listen) to both of the songs above…they are both 100% crap. Why must this “hip hop” excrement be forced into everything. I can understand this garbage being popular in the straight world, but it’s so sad that this kind of crap has become popular in the gay world. There was a time when gay bars had the most incredibly wonderful music, but not anymore. Thankfully, there are some gay bars that refuse to play this crap.

P.S. — Nunya, I love the comment…I was laughing out loud!

  15. cemego

I couldn’t tell one of these from the other if I was blind. Their music sounds exactly the same to me. I bet none of them write the majority of their music as well. Do I have to like the music/performance of these people to be gay now?? REALLY?!? If this is what we have to do to be gay, then I guess I’m straight. This crap, like madonna, I dont hate… I simply do not get it. I guess that makes me less gay.

  16. mike

Give a dark stage, one spotlight and a singer who doesn’t need bells and whistles or special effects! One that can entertain purely with their voice!!! Now, that’s a rarity!!!

  17. minaj

NICKI MINAJ has established herself harder than any other female rapper!!! Get the FCK outta here. She is the best from every feature! Mix tape! And album. How she came out all crazy for the attention and publicity (because there is no bad) and now she’s toned down and giving us what we wanted from the jump. And if you listen to her mix tapes all the shit she has now she rapped about back then now she has it! Come on now!! from the branding to multiple world tours. She has expanded her fan base to more than rap and found a way to really mix a pop beat with an edge flow. #Miami #PinkPrintTour #TeamMinaj

  18. Jay

I love Tay, Bey, & Nik! They are my fave girls for different moods. Musically, Beyonce is still THAT bitch! None can touch her on the stage, studio, or on the camera. Nik is that cool say things we wish we’d all say girl that just really makes guys wanna tame her in the bedroom. Then there’s Tay who I can relate to totally in trying to date really hot, handsome guys but always get burned. Hope one of us finds that guy, Tay. As far as Bey, she just has so damn much and maybe we should all look beyond having just a hot guy and find our own Jigga that compliments our strengths instead of our groins or behinds.

  19. CHRIS

Nunya: Sounds like you need a hug.
    KillaBee: Is that English?

Most of you guys take this blog way too seriously. Seems like Dave is just trying to have a little fun with the content. You can give your opinion without being an asshole and tearing people down.

Beyoncé is not queen to me. She has some good moments tho. I’m about to my Minaj saturation point. I like her better when she sings.

  20. Steve

As someone who used to work in the music business before most of the top selling artists (and I use that term very loosely) became over-produced, over-processed and extremely over-exposed its sad to see true artists not getting much attention. Do these three have real talent? Sure. But is it being used to their best potential, that answer to that is a resounding NO! Because the music buying public has become used to the latest disposable fad music I hope for he best and hope that real artists are able to be recognized. The best performance I’ve seen lately was on this past years Grammy’s and that was Hozier with the incredible, amazing, fantastic Annie Lennox. Now there is true talent folks . Patiently awaiting the release of Adele’s new release

  21. Myra's Bunyun

Okay, first of all as a black man, i respect all of these women for the hard work and success they have acheived in this white cis het male dominated industry. Now. I see a lot of you loose hole bottoms going in unnecessarily on Bey and Nicki. Now i totally understand having an opinion but bitch when you opinion become flat out ignorant hate, well girl thats when i have to clock you (nunya). Now, as a member of the Beyhive with a pending barbz membership, it is my obligation to educate you on why Bey is fucking awesome.
    1. Self-Titled (do i really need to explain?? Pitchfork has declared it to be among the top 15 greatest albums of the decade thus far)

    2. Feminist: In 2014 Forbes declared Beyoncé to be the world’s most powerful celebrity, and she has leveraged her global brand in support of gender equality through her influential charity, the #BeyGood Project. Her hit single Flawless samples from a TEDx Talk called We Should All Be Feminists by Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Beyoncé belts the anthem’s first verse and then cedes the floor to Adichie, who relays the definition of a ‘feminist’ as “the person who believes in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes”.

    3. Feminist (con’t): On International Women’s Day, her #BeyGood charity organisation teamed up with the Clinton Foundation to remind us of a harsh reality: “Despite progress over the last several decades, women and girls remain the majority of the world’s unhealthy, unfed and unpaid.”

    4. Mother/Wife: she has reimagined the traditional constraints on women in their roles as mothers and wives regardless of how critical yt US cuntservatives are towards her.
she has refashioned marital commitment in fun and sexy terms, giving marriage a new face at once enviable and unfamiliar.

    5. Charity: The list of charities she supports is both long and varied, but perhaps the greatest contribution she has made is the Survivor Foundation, an organization she founded with fellow Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.
She was also an Ambassador for the 2005 World Children’s Day, and released “Stand Up For Love,” the anthem for the event which takes place annually around the world on November 20 to raise awareness and funds for children’s causes.
Also, she is a co-founder of CHIME FOR CHANGE, a platform designed to empower women and girls through education, health and justice. She even went to the hospital to visit some fans that were injured by the fireworks during one of her shows. Head nurse Darryl Williams said, “She was just very concerned about the people injured in the audience. It was unannounced and we kept it very low-key so that she could spend time with them.” Not to mention her recent charitable donation with Tidal, Prince, and her hubby Sean Carter in baltimore during the freddie gray protests AND them anonymously bailing out the wrongly arrested protestors including a young boys whose bail was set to $500k for a damaged pig mobile but ANYWAY…

(Here is a list of charities and foundations she supports)
    46664
    American Foundation for AIDS Research
    Artists for Peace and Justice
Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
    Candie’s Foundation
    CHIME FOR CHANGE
    Clinton Bush Haiti Fund
    Clothes Off Our Back
    Entertainment Industry Foundation
    Feeding America
Food Bank For New York City
    GEMS
    Global Poverty Project
    Keep A Child Alive
    Kids Wish Network
    Love Our Children USA
    Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation
    Miss A Meal
    MusiCares
    Music Rising
    Oxfam
    Phoenix House
    Prince’s Trust
    Save The Music Foundation
    Small Steps Project
    Stand Up To Cancer
    Survivor Foundation
    The Lunchbox Fund
    The Samburu Project
    Women’s Fund for Scotland

In closing, people need to remember that she is more than her flawless appearance, infectious music, unmatched vocal. Bey is a damn artist, humanitarian, wife, and mother. She is truly a renaissance woman.

  22. Bleh

i think taylor is horrible, i love country but country pop is eww. however i love blank space since im a nerd and its based on death note, an anime i love. i don’t like Beyoncé and her highly overrated “singing” but Nicki is definitely in my top 10. for those sayin lil kim is better, she WAS at the top but she fell off years ago, along with her face which has been changed every year, she went from a rapping black woman to a irritating bitchy asian lady.
upon watching both vids i give it to Nicki n Bologna, i mean Beyoncé lol

  23. MistrFistr

Survey SAYS: NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Pop music these days is full of clowns, and those three names are included. FAIL.

  24. V

    Beyonce: constantly caught lip syncing.
Taylor Swift: can’t write a song that isn’t about some form of relationship.
    Niki: ripped off lil Kim.

    In short, they all suck.
Am I the only gay that enjoys hard rock? It seriously feels that way.

  25. Drexx

The amount of energy people put into hating others man. There’s no other explanation for it than jealousy. Nunya described Britney Spears. Mike should rewatch Beyoncé’s Grammy performance. BillyTee forgot Nicki judged on American Idol an entire season. OnlyTellTheTruth is lying to themselves. Richard could care less which means he cares a whole lot lmao. Mark forgot he was just a singular human and not the spokesperson for all homosexuals. Jay’s cool.

Drexx : I Know right and you can add another 10 comments that I simply deleted because they were not appropriate.

  26. Ike

neither tbh, if I had to choose out of all celebrities I’d probably go for Lady Gaga, and even still I’m not into the ‘mainstream’ music trends because they’re mostly generic and/or trashy lyrics with catchy flavor of the month tunes.

  27. Lqtm

I guess I’m old school as well ,,, absolute garbage wouldn’t waste my time on either one …. Appears this decadent music is going to be one most of us will be happy to forget

  28. imbored

It’s sad that all you people on here are commenting about them in the worse. I think they both are good. If u can say shit nice don’t say shit at all. Is sad that all u queens are bashing real queens. What do u gain from trying to discredit their work? I don’t see none of yall assess on tv.

  29. Hunter0500

    @Imbored.
You know what’s sad? What is sad that anyone who just doesn’t relate to, care for, like, love or think the “!DIVA!” style of music the Blog keeps promoting in absence of all others is “IT!” or GREAT is labelled a “hater’ or “bashing queens”. It’s simply a choice of enjoyment of a style of music entertainment. Similar to many many other choices the WIDE VARIETY of gay guys are up for.

And then what do the true “queens” here do? They get all uppity with (actual quotes from this blog) “if u can say shit nice don’t say shit at all” or “I see a lot of you loose hole bottoms going in unnecessarily on Bey and Nicki” or “not bad for a Beyonce hater…”. In short they say “Love this music or shut the fuck up.”

Gay guys come with a variety of textures, flavors, heights, weights, hariness -es, style choices, jobs, colors, MUSIC CHOICES etc. “The Community” as such (and as seems to be represented in the blog) needs to cease promoting ONE style of music or clothing or sexual play choices or WHATEVER as THE ONE AND ONLY. Maybe the Blog doesn’t see it happening .. IT IS.

Blogs such as this one only serve to keep the hate alive … not only within the supposed “COMMUNITY” but outside it as well. “Keep the hate and phobias alive … without them we’d have nothing to fight for.” (Hey, maybe that wouldn’t be so bad!)

Geesch, people. Can’t we all just get along?

  30. kk

It’s funny how the post asked a simple question and people are just hating. if you’re not a fan of any of the artiste why waste time to comment? Pick a video and move on, if you like none shut up.

I like both videos they were really great but Id have to go with nicki and beyonce

  31. kk

@hunter0500, I think people should just send in a submission for what you like or what you think is lacking instead of complaining? people do send in stories etc, the majority likes what the blog posts. you are right that they may focus on one thing but we all have the power and freedom to suggest and submit a different side 🙂

To me if they dont like it then don’t comment and if they wanna read something different send in a submission or suggestion

  32. Hunter0500

@Kk. Check out the recent blogs here for underwear, the survey, Beauty and the Beast, Hemsworth, and the feedback here on Diva music. The majority responding to those were not liking. Many guys here say they’re just not Diva-holics, bright undie obsessed, penis picture chasing, sexual “gotta haves”. They’re a variety of men with a variety of tastes … far outside of the stereotypes.

Being a gay guy has come a long way. Continual reinforcement of outmoded, outdated stereotypes slows that progress.

Hunter: feel free not to come her every day then…
Nobody holds you to come on the blog and comment negatively every day…

  33. Hunter0500

“Nobody holds you to come on the blog and comment negatively every day”

    To clarify the rules then:
    Agree with Blog = positive.
    Disagree with Blog = negative.

So much for tolerance and acceptance of alternative views and lifestyles.

  34. Nunya

    to “Myra’s Bunyun”

i didnt read that huge document you wasted time writing–i got better things to do with my time. i find it so sad and pathetic those of you that worship a talentless, ugly woman.

you are the lowest, most shallow end of the gene pool. if there ever was a culling, you people that think she has talent, would be the first ones to go. you and Beyond Noseholes are so dumb, you wouldn’t even qualify to the level of being “special ed”.

just read the majority of the comments on this page, nearly everyone says what a joke she is.
