Travel : Montreal Pride 2014

fierté

After a record-breaking year in 2013, Montréal Pride is back for a 8th fabulous edition. The 2014 program has something for everyone with free shows and activities at Place Émilie-Gamelin, conferences, cultural activities and lots of great parties.

Community Day will be held on this Saturday, along Sainte-Catherine Street in the Village and the ever-popular Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, on René-Lévesque street. Will then follow the Mega T-Dance in Emilie Gamelin Park from 2PM to 11PM with the best DJs. Of course there are many parties this weekend, check out their website!

Montreal is not what it used to be. I used to love it when it was small, in Parc La Fontaine and then the parties on Ste. Catherine, those were the good days. It’s like Black & Blue when it used to be so awesome. So many years I would make that trip to good ole Montreal for the best time of my life. Black & Blue is so glow stick and passe now, i am afraid the uniqueness of Good Ole Montreal pride is gone – the parade is way too long and the floats take way too long. Even when it came down St Denis it was OK but Rene Levesque is too much – reminds me of Toronto awful and long drawn out Parade. Come on Montreal, bring back the good ole days!!
