Music : Lady Gaga’s New Music Video – G.U.Y

gaga

Lady Gaga released her latest music video last night at 8pm for “G.U.Y”,  an acronym for Girl Under You. The 11 minutes “short film” is bizarre yet fabulous and features a resurrected Michael Jackson and few Real Housewives. The video is an epic parody of male dominated capitalism. Directed by Gaga herself, the video was shot at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California.

I personally really like the video. It is visually beautiful and Gaga looks stunning with her long to-the-floor blonde wig, very Versace. Her outfits are all fantastic and crazier than the previous. Make me love the song, because I was not crazy about it and now, LOVE it!

Check it out below and let me know your thoughts.

2 minutes of credits for a 7 minute video? a little extreme … I liked the choreography of the video and im not the biggest gaga fan but at least she didn’t have anyone throwing up on her

MORE SUBLIMATED MAN-HATING. CONVERSELY IT IS RELAVENT GIVEN THE TIRED-ASS LAND-GRABBING THE PUTA I MEAN PUT-IN IS DOING IN HIS RUSH-SHUH.

I am not typically a fan of Lady Gaga, but I am digging the song. It’s like a cross between Judas & Love Game. Don’t care for the video because it’s her typical obsolete fodder, but I do like the song itself.

Video for me was overshadowed by GaGa’s stupid performance at South By Southwest in Austin as she had a performance artist that pukes colors continually wrenching and heaving on GaGa.ii am so open to ANYTHING but felt I wasn’t sophisticated enough for that.

the music was a mish mash of about 5 different ideas rehashed from others and herself —- not really catchy or interesting to listen to —
and the rest of this comment will be a critique/rant – ;o)
Really disappointed in the visual aspect of the video. really looked amateurish – and I hope she got Johnny Depp’s costume from The Lone Ranger on sale. I guess what really disappoints me is the obvious (to me) concept that would have been perfect, but seem to elude Ms. Ga – Filming a music video titled G.U.Y. girl under you?? At San Simeon??? where the most famous G.U.Y. of the first half of the 20th century lived?? No references to Marion Davies, William Randolph Hearst, Orson Welles, Charles Foster Kane, Newspapers, The stars who played there on the weekend – yet we have Jesus and Michael Jackson showing up – It should have looked like a party in the roaring 20s with doubles of chaplin, swanson, buster Keaton, joan Crawford and the like – lol its good that Im old, and not long for this world – it just seems to disappoint lately – artistically and spiritually —-

Female music artists who look like like cross-dressers or transvestites just don’t attract me. There’s nothing wrong, of course with cross-dressers or transvestites. They should be respected like everyone else. What’s odd is the notion that the music of those women who look like them is all that’s ever promoted as “wunnnderful!” here.

UMM okay. I liked the intro. Didn’t like G.U.Y. as a song or video. Manicure is catchy though (also Gaga kept reminding me of Cher for some reason. Idk.) I applaud her for directing it! HOWEVER, Lana Del Rey did a MUCH better job acting in and directing her short movie comprised of Body Electric, Gods & Monsters, and Bel Air. Beyonce also did a much better job on her visual album, notably with Haunted. Unconditionally by Katy Perry was visually more appealing even though she didn’t direct it.
