Psssh Dave please. Until you and your buddies can stop thinking it’s ok to have sex with married men. I don’t want you to share videos on gay marriage! Don’t be a fucking hypocrite.

Yuki, each people can have their own opinion man. Some married men I had sex with are in open relationship with their gf or bf. Some people have different opinion than you, you need to accept it that’s all. Many of my straight friends are in open relationship or do 3-sum with their lover and strangers, they choose a person together and then have fun with that person. It’s not only gays…And not because I had sex with married men that it means I’m against marriage. Maybe you should mind your own bizz. You don’t like that straight people don’t accept gays, well start by accepting gays!

While I love the sentiment in the video, as it progresses, the questions get more and more biased in how they are phrased and presented to the impressionable kids. For example “how do you feel that gays can get married in ONLY 14 states?” (I’m paraphrasing a bit). The word “only” clearly sets off context for the kids. They know an authority figure is telling them this is too few and will respond with “correct” replies. I’m glad things are moving forward and we have come a long way. However, this video, while very sweet, is far from unbiased or conclusive. The video has intent to shape opinion rather than illustrate it. That’s called propaganda…..propaganda we like….but still propaganda. Take with a grain of salt….or sugar…because it is pretty sweet. 🙂

Having sex with married men is a despicable act…and lets all be real here…we all know a lot of their partners have no idea. So lets no hide behind faux outrage and just face the facts. And the argument that straight people do it is a load of nonsense. Just because straights do it doesnt justify gays. Hell a lot of straight people do drugs…does that somehow justify gays? Food for thought.

      HW: I don’t need to justify anything…
Some people do things, some don’t, that’s all.
Thanks for your opinion, have a great day:)

Interesting video and cute kids, but those kids aren’t old enough and life experienced enough to make intelligent choices yet. They only know the cutesy, fairytale romanticized version of what marriage is about.

The video and the use of innocent children is only propaganda aimed at garnering sympathy for those gays who want to get married. I have no problem with anyone (gay or straight) getting married, but there are more honest ways of going about making this happen.

@Blog: If you don’t need to justify anything then why are you doing so?

I personally have no problem with someone having sex with a married person. It’s the married person’s choice if they are going to cheat or not, it’s their commitment. Nobody’s putting a gun to their head, forcing them to cheat. If they are cheating then that marriage isn’t very strong to begin with and will more than likely end anyhow.

Also; a lot of people don’t get around to figuring out and or accepting that they really are gay until later in life and many of them after they are married.

Marriage is only a legal contract. It originally was about ownership and after that it became about being legally responsible for supporting offspring and the legal benefits that come with it. Marriage has nothing to do with love. Love is something that exists married or not and you can’t force someone to love you just because the two of you have a marriage contract.

This video kinda got me teary eyed just knowing that kids accept other people for being gay, but the little boy with the messed up eyebrows sure has a messed up head thanks to his peers, they really did a number on that one. I guess everyone has their own opinions but he’s too young to not like gays. Glad to see the others talk about it and accept it and stand up for it.

The video makes me feel hopeful that not all children are being raised to hate someone who is different than themselves. My wish is for the adults that make our laws will get over themselves and their own prejudices and just make it legal for all to be married to the person they are in love with. Like the little girl said, God doesn’t hate anyone. I really liked the twin that said “cry me a river and build a bridge and get over it”. These are profound children. Thanks Dave for the video. I’m an old sappy fart and it brought tears to my eyes for their innocence has yet to be destroyed and hopefully, it won’t be.

    HW: I don’t need to justify anything…”

When a person is seen as credible, justify doesn’t come up for discussion.

Not really cute at all. Using children for the purpose of political/social propaganda is manipulative. Make any case you want for or against any social issue but make it. Don’t use children.

  9. Mike

If children can accept then grown up should take a free lessons for children. You are who you are and that is that!
I habe been married to a woman for 38 years but I finely had the gut to come out and tell my wife that I was gay, She took it hard to begain with but she didn’t kick me ouT.We love each other stand by each each other though rough times and she accepts me for who I am . I don’t go around and say “OH I am gay” that is no bodyies business.

This is a clearly biased presentation. It also has serious moral and ethical issiues when it comes to children. It is flawed on many fronts in terms of presenting itself as research with results.

The questions were repeatedly loaded to prompt the respondents toward a desired response.

A number of the questions were clearly age inappropriate. There is no justification for asking a child who does not understand what concepts such as relationships and marriage are, questons about relationships or marriage.

Those who conducted the interviews clearly did not understand that they were affecting the development of children and young adults on a controversial mulit-faceted topic. They have in the cases of the youngest children interviewed certainly confused those children to a great extent.

Had the project been conducted with individuals (say 13-16 year olds but there is wiggle room there) and had its questions be position-neutral, the project would have had tremendous merit.

As it is, the project is biased … and biased to a point where it did not care what effect it had on children, young children. There are serious moral and ethical issues with it.

If all readers/posters were of the same mind, Dave would have nothing to blog about. Isn’t the reason for a blog to post a position and see if it holds up … or if it perhaps needs to evolve some?

I like to post things that people do not agree with, it makes this blog spicy…

I love watching The Fine Bros. on YouTube. I commend them on touching on controversial topics like this. It’s also nice seeing how far we have come in society with these children’s reactions.
