Yesterday was 84th Annual Academy Award and what was I looking for? The dresses !
I love fashion and I like to watch the red carpet before the show. It’s always fascinating to see these gowns and I’m amazed by how expensive these pieces of art are …and I also like to laugh at some horrible fashion faux pas! So here are my favorites !
My favorite dress of the night is Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab! This dress is just phenomenal! The ex top model looked absolutely breathtaking in this one-shoulder ivory gown and let me tell you that she knows how to pose. So elegant and refined and very 2012. Some actresses should take notes… the big prom voluminous dresses are OUT !
Second choice would be Gwyneth. Her Tom Ford dress is simple but amazing. The neckline and shoulder details are absolutely fresh and beautiful. No froufrou, no sequins, nothing blinged out, just simplicity and elegance. I also liked the cape that she wore on the red carpet.
Michelle Williams would be my third choice. She was wearing a crush-red chiffon Louis Vuitton gown and embracing the peblum trend that we will see a lot for next fall. Michelle is becoming a fashion icon, she always has nice dresses on the red carpet and she is classic yet trendy.
Number four would be Angelina. Her Atelier Versace black strapless thigh-high slit gown was absolutely gorgeous! Her right leg was the conversation of the evening on twitter last night. Why not show it off while she can still do it !
Number five would be Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli Couture. The fuschia-red dress looked a bit similar to the Balenciaga red dress Nicole Kidman wore at thre 2007 Oscars, with the bow detail at the neck, but I liked it anyways!

I loved gwyneths, j-lo, viola, Stacy and the girl with the red bow were some of my favorite dresses. Though I do think j-lo needed gwyneths cape she still looked hot.
Hands down Best Dressed goes to Viola Davis (with honorable mention to Meryl Streep and Octavia Spencer who both looked FAB!) Plus it was great to see Viola rock her beautiful natural hair …absolutely gorgeous! Joan rivers gave her best dressed on Fashion Police so that says ALLOT…you know how Joan can be lol

Agree. Milla was old hollywood stunning and gorgeous.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s gown, accented by that cape and stunning diamond cuff, were the hit of the evening. While Angelina’s gown was likewise gorgeous, I was a little taken aback by the malnourishment evidenced in her leg.
the red dress looks like the large bow is tied to kill by choking u to death.angelina is hot is black.orange is best at october, trick or treat. someone trick her into wearing that dress.that white cape should be returned to the pope.the white one shoulderdress now i know what happen to a bed spread i donated to good will.
