Jussie is an American actor, singer, and photographer best known for his role as Jamal Lyon in the FOX musical TV drama series titled Empire. Jussie’s other films include The Mighty Ducks (1992, Stephen Herek) where he played as Terry Hall; and North (1994, Rob Reiner) where he played as Adam. He also appeared in Mariah Carey’s single Infinity and he has an upcoming science fiction horror film titled Alien: Covenant (2017, Ridley Scott) out in theaters this May 19, 2017.
He isn’t just doing cameo roles in music videos, because Jussie portrays the character of Jamal, a talented R&B singer and songwriter, it follows that he can sing, too!
Anyway, Jussie came out to Ellen in 2015, saying that “there is without a doubt no closet, that there’s never been a closet.” Watch his coming out at The Ellen Show below. Also, in one of the interviews he reiterated he is a gay man, true, but according to Jussie everybody should be “open to love and not to gender” and that he’s not “closing the possibility of falling in love with a woman.”

He’s interesting. HIs whining always singing personality on that show grates me though. It just seems like the show is a vehicle for his singing career. In fact, most of the show is now little more than a forum for showcasing new dancing and singing talent for about 30 minutes of the 45 minute show (excluding ads). Still, the writers have got a good plot going. There is some really good writing there, as in Star. Still, Cookie is carrying the show. She’s got real, I mean real, talent. I just love to watch her perform and follow the dialogue. The others are just so so and so so stereotypical. She’s so good that when she rolls her eyes a whole dialogue has just taken place. I mean, how long has it been since an actress has done THAT??? Finally, I like his personality and looks but I’m probably not his type as I”m too literate and culture-vulture type. Why go where I’m not wanted? Really, dogs do that. Not humans, except those chasing Hollywood celebrities maybe.

I think Jussie Smollet “Jamal” is very SEXY and his smile is Adorable! I think he is super talented and he seems very down to earth but also knows who he is and doesn’t pretend to be someone he’s not. I commend him for that and to answer the ? Hot or Not ….DEFINITELY HOT!

His character sometimes shows a rougher edge, but I like his character’s sensitive side better. The musical talent shines when he has good material to work with–which sadly is less than half the time.
