Fresh from its Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize win at the recently concluded 2016 Venice Film Festival, Focus Features gave us the first glimpse of Tom Ford’s new drama thriller titled Nocturnal Animals.
In the movie, Academy Award nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal play a divorced couple who hasn’t been communicating with each other in years until one day, Susan (Adams’s character) receives a manuscript written by her ex husband, Tony (Gyllenhaal).
Tony used to call her nocturnal animal, a nickname which he also used as the title of his book.
While reading the story which she finds both violent and sad, Susan begins to wonder if the book is a thinly-veiled threat. And whether her ex-husband wrote it as a form of revenge for something she did when they were still married. In the trailer, Susan admits to someone else, “I did something horrible to him.”
The film is an adaptation to the 1993 novel Tony and Susan written by Austin Wright.

In between the film screenings in Italy and Toronto not to mention the award acceptance last September 10 at the 73rd Venice Film Festival, Ford was also seen Wednesday night last week, September 7, in New York. He showcased his Fall/Winter 2016 collection at Manhattan’s Four Seasons Restaurant to a star-studded audience that included Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Cindy Crawford, Julianne Moore, Rita Ora, Zayn Malik, Uma Thurman, to name a few.

Tom Ford’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection was presented in a new format called “see-now, buy-now.” The formula is a departure from the norm because the shoppers get to buy the collection right away instead of waiting for the clothes’ availability at the stores which happens only a year after appearing on the runway.

With see-now-buy-now, customers can buy the clothes from said collection via an interactive video on tomford.com. Shoppers have the option to ‘save the look’ they want while watching so they can ‘view and shop’ later when they are done.
