News : Apple Finally Releases a Rainbow Flag Emoji
In an effort of inclusiveness, Apple, the iPhone maker, will finally release a rainbow flag emoji.
More than one hundred new and redesigned emoji characters will be available to iPhone and iPad users this fall with iOS 10. This exciting update brings more gender options to existing characters, including new female athletes and professionals, adds beautiful redesigns of popular emoji, and of course a new rainbow flag!
Apple is working closely with the Unicode Consortium to ensure that popular emoji characters reflect the diversity of people everywhere.
Check out some of Apple’s new emojis on their official site.
Will you use the new flag emoji?
I’m never using that flag. That is really wrong. I do not support this movement.
Why is this big news or just news? Big whoop
Great! Now I can be marginalized and stereotyped on a Mac.
It is, unfortunately, a symbol of radical division that separates people instead of bringing them together. Another example of “I’m part of this group. You are not.” Whether it’s gays/straights, whites/blacks, liberals/conservatives or any of a list of other polar groups, as long as we choose to align ourselves, we create hate.
My god so drama! Each comment that you leave is distorted to find something negative. Why not seeing it as an act of inclusion and love from Apple instead?
You’re keeping the hate alive, as always, Dave. Someone makes a point you don’t agree with and out pours the negative labels. Very short of love and inclusion.
No, you posted 689 comments so far, and I think 2 of them are positive. Just a FYI.
Well, Dave, you know that is false. But now you have published it.
“I think 2 of them ..” is the problem. You require readers to adhere to narrow prescriptions for what clothing must/only be worn, what music must/only be listened to, what radical view of homosexuality to hold and scathe those (check your own posts) who have views that don’t match yours. All while demanding inclusivity and love.
What’s negative about asking that radicals stop promoting an us vs. them mentality that promotes hate? Nothing.
What’s negative about asking you to accept gays who don’t dress, enjoy music, or hold views different from yours? Nothing.
Send me a file of the 689 comments you have, as you claim, intimate knowledge of about how negative they are. Let’s discuss them.
690 now. The admin panels tells me you have 690 comments on the blog
