Music : Celine Dion at Fallon and Today Show!
As many of you know, I’m a huuuuuuuuuge fan of Celine Dion and have been for many year. Since yesterday, Celine is in NYC and she is making tons of TV appearances. Starting last night with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Celine performed Show Must Go On from Queen. Wearing a long leather dress, the Canadian Diva blew the studio apart with her incredible rendition of the song. She also played with Jimmy at Wheel of Musical Impressions, imitating Cher, Rihanna and Sia, that was completely fantastic and funny!
This morning, Celine was at Today, performing for Citi Concert Series. With thousands of fans gathering in NYC Rockefeller Plaza, the singer sang her greatest hits Because You Loved Me, and A New Day Has Come, but also Water and a Flame from her latest album You Loved Me Back to Life and the classic Over The Rainbow, which was spectacular. Celine also gave a full interview with the Today team after.
At 11 am, Celine was co-hosting the full hour with Kathie Lee Gifford, and it was delicious. Of course Celine is known to have a very good sense of humour, but on the set, she was a real clown! Jokes after jokes…even Kathie Lee at one point said ” you are a strange person” and it made me laugh, because yes Celine is a true icon, but she is also very funny, very simple and down to Earth. Qualities of many French Canadians.
Celine will be coming to Montreal in few days to give a series of concerts at Bell Center, 10 concerts to be precise. That’s 22,000 seats x 10. Then she will give 5 concerts in Quebec and 2 in Trois-Rivieres. Yes, we love our Celine in Quebec! Check out her website CelineDion.com for tickets.
