Travel : Dave Travels to Europe…
Hey guys, I’m going to Europe for 2 weeks from May 23rd to June 6th. First stop, Barcelona, I’ve never been so if you have suggestions, feel free to send them my way. Whether they are museums, bars, art galleries, restaurants, beaches I want to know what you recommend. While I’ll be gone I will continue posting here and on social media my itinerary throughout the gay life and culture of Barcelona. If you live in Barcelona, make sure to leave your username so that I can contact you for a coffee or a drink, I’d really like that!
Second stop will be Mykonos. Even though it is off-season, the weather in Mykonos is perfect in June. I don’t like too hot and it varies between 27-30 celsius which is ideal! I will also post my itinerary while I’m there, beaches, clubs, restaurants that I like, etc. I would also like to get your suggestions if you have some. I only know Super Paradise beach and the gay club Jackie-O by the water, but that’s about it so leave your suggestion in the comment section below! Thanks!

Bar Marcella in the Gothic Quarter of BCN..tell the owner Scott Jenkins that John from Silver Fox in Long Beach CA sent u!
I’m going on a cruise from June 21-July 5 leaving form Venice and ending in Barcelona. I have heard that you should keep your wallet secure, that there are lots of pick pockets. Always looking for a fun place to eat and drink. Let me know.

Rohari Hotel in Mykonos is a great place for a late afternoon glass of wine late lunch all the food is from their farm on the hill over looking the city
La Sagrada Familia. Exquisite architecture. Go in the afternoon when the workers have gone home. Sit inside the cathedral and soak in the beauty and ambience.
Oh. Take the train south to Sitges. It’s a European gay mecca. Takes about 40 minutes to get there.
Two great places. When in Mykonos take the ferry to Delos (only 40 minutes). Mythological birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. When in Barcelona keep close watch of every possession even what you leave in hotel room
When I went to Barcelona, I stayed in the Gothic Quarter and it was perfect—very cool.
If you have any interest in architecture, Barcelona has some of the greatest. Spent half day spell-bound at the Gaudi cathedral mentioned above and some of his apartment houses are open to view. Great city.
When in Barcelona, you should stay at this B&B called Umma. Great location… very nice place, I had a wonderful experience.
Oh… and there is a bar called The Forest of the Fairies (ironically, NOT a gay bar)… pretty awesome place. Right next to the wax museum (which you can skip!)
Argcub : my hotel is already booked but thanks for the suggestions
Just got back from a conference in Barcelona and it is a wonderful city. La Sagrada Familia is a must, as Jim G.suggested. My hotel was very nice but my jacket and cell phone were stolen from the hotel bar. No one at the hotel seemed to care so be very careful with your personal belongings. There are lots of tourists and the pickpockets are quite active. Enjoy, nonetheless.
Do not leave out Ibiza, a fantastic island in the Balearic group, just off of Barcelona
