Are you wondering if Adam4Adam is a website where one can find love or if it is simply a place to find a quick hook-up? Well, here is my story… My boyfriend, Tegan, and I met on A4A almost four years ago. Our first date was the day before Thanksgiving in 2011 and we got to know each other while watching basketball at a local sports bar. In fact, our fourth anniversary is quickly approaching – we have decided to celebrate our anniversary each year on the day before Thanksgiving instead of the true date.
I was a member of A4A for almost five years while Tegan was a member for less than a week before we met. He had only recently moved to North Carolina to start school at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He has since graduated and is now completing residency training in Greensboro, NC. I have been working in Durham, NC as a software engineer at a sports TV graphics company called SMT for just over ten years now. Both of us moved to North Carolina from our home states (Oklahoma for him and Ohio for me) not knowing anyone in this entire state, but Adam4Adam eventually brought us together. I had already been using A4A as a casual dating site for nearly five years when Tegan created his profile. He had only been on the site for a few days when I messaged him and we went on our first date. The next 4 years could be written into an amazing Rom-Com starring Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling (obviously called “Two Ryan’s Always Make a Right”). What I am trying to say is that it does not matter if you are a seasoned veteran on A4A, brand new to the site, looking for a hook-up, casually dating, or looking for love… Adam4Adam can be whatever you make of it and Tegan and I have made a loving relationship from it.

Good news but they are the exception. How many men have I met angry with me stating adam4Adam is for sex not love or friendship. All of them. Young gay men are going to find out what’s it all about on their 40th birthday. And it’s going to scare the living hell out of them.
Awww how cute. Wish there was more to the story but I enjoyed what I did read. I am a guy who still clings on to hope that it is possible to find love even on sites such as Adam where majority use it for hookups and if that’s not what you want from the site many look at you as crazy or a waste of time. Not only is it hard to keep hope with that obstacle but also the fact that I am not into penetration I love frottage and interacting through a hump& grind sexual intercourse. I really feel like I’m preparing to be alone.

Dave, you missed my point, and I wouldn’t blame ya…it was probably poorly stated. I mean that I’ve been here for a long time and only recently have I been seeing stories of couples who met off of Adam4adam, which we started seeing after you posted your blog about whether you can find love on Adam4adam so it seems like these stories were sought to strengthen the blog to reaffirm the unpopular notion that yes you can..
Now I am aware that you invited everyone to send their stories and thus put forth a platform to share these stories. I am just saying the platform has been around for quite a while and these would have been very much welcome earlier than now. It’s all timing and all. Really, I wasn’t being critical or anything, and I did say keep the stories coming 🙂

I used to have hope on finding love but now I’ve thrown in the towel. Like some of the guys mentioned most gay/bi men just want sex or a fwb, nothing serious. And I’m not getting any younger (24) as I feel my relationship clock is ticking. I’ve tried everything from apps to sites like this, clubs, meeting people through organizations etc. Perhaps it’s the men in my city but apparently it’s the sane everywhere. Honestly I’m thinking of going back to women; at least most of them want something serious.
