Okay, Dave, you said it…..95% of the gays in your town are bottoms! Wow…really? You seem to be having difficulty finding enough hot tops to satisfy your sexual desires and appetite. As a bisexual guy in Texas, it is some distance to Montreal, but from your statement, Quebec must be severely short of hot tops or you would not have made the statement. If the shortage continues, we may have to find a way to re-populate Quebec Province with more tops—similar to increasing the buck population to service does. This would create a migration of tops from across the continent into Quebec.
A4A members may have read my previous comments about the number of so-called str8 guys who would succumb to sex with other males. I still stand by my initial statement! In addition, I have also mentioned that some bottoms are former tops that lost their erection capabilities. I still stand by that statement too! I really don’t have an answer to the Provencal problem that will cure the situation immediately for Dave’s benefit, but if there were a way to take a census count in Montreal—like other cities in North America, I wonder what would be the response from A4A subscribers. Someone is obviously incapable of basic data collection and statistics… Having reviewed the self stated preferences for both Montreal as well as Quebec at large, I can safely say that neither Quebec or Montreal are composed primarily of bottoms. Curiously, because Montreal is the largest city in Quebec, the majority of users also self-identify as being in Montreal. the breakdown of tops and versatile tops compared to bottoms and versatile bottom is 47% to 53%. Further, a much larger percentage of men with in Montreal and Quebec self-identify as versatile, which should allow all of those ravenous bottoms to at least have a pretty damn good shot at getting fucked as often as they want. Basic math guys, basic math.
It does seem that the majority of posters on sites such as A4A, craigslist, ect, seem to be bottoms. Or vers who are really looking for tops. As a true bottom (always have been) it can make it somewhat tough to find suitable partners.

Why does this guy assume it’s a unique problem in Dave’s city? Having lived in at least 2 countries and multiple cities, I can say that it’s not just in any particular city or country; it would be safe to extrapolate that it’s everywhere! Saying that bottoms are 95% may actually be quite generous because no matter what site or app you use, true tops are few and far between. That estimation does include so-called verse guys who would prefer bottoming if they were given a choice so I still call them bottoms. If I had a dollar for every chat on Grindr that seems to have so much promise until it ends up with, “aawww you’re a bottom too? LOL,” I’d be able to pay my some of my utility bills with the money.

So it does prove that only 11.6% are pure tops and the rest are either verse or bottoms (a small 7.8% are just not into anal). 22.5% are verse but prefer to be tops. I maintain per experience that verse guys in general would prefer to bottom. Adding the 22.5% to the 11.6% still means around 6 out of 10 of us are bottoms.
