Active duty Navy here. Let me dispell some rumors/false information:
1.) Military and Army are not synonyms. Army is one of four major branches of the military. Most of your puctures are of marines (called ‘marines’, not ‘soldiers’) but you also have one airman. I know the terminology doesn’t matter much to civilians, but it does to us, so please just use the neutural ‘servicemember’.
2.) After the repeal of both DADT and DOMA, gay military men and women can (and do) have sex with one another, and just like everyone else, they take puctures. There’s no major career concern, though, as long as all participants are consenting adults.
3.) Some servicemembers DO have facial hair. This can be for a number of reasons, the most common two of which being A, special forces no-shave status, and B, feliculitis barbae, a condition which makes shaving hazardous to your health, common in black men.
