Travel : Montreal Pride Week

After a record-breaking year in 2012, Montréal Pride, will be back for a 7th fabulous edition from Monday, August 12, to Sunday, August 18. The 2013 program has something for everyone with free shows and activities at Place Émilie-Gamelin, conferences, cultural activities and lots of great parties.

Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 17, along Sainte-Catherine Street in the Village and the ever-popular Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, August 18, at 1 pm on René-Lévesque, starting at Guy Street and ending at Sanguinet.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the creation of the rainbow flag, the rallying symbol of the LGBT movement. To mark this milestone, the 2013 Pride Parade theme will be the first colour of the flag: ROUGE (red), symbolizing life.
