Travel : NYC Pride
We are right in the middle of NYC Pride! The weather is hot, the boys too, let’s celebrate!
Heritage of Pride is the wholly volunteer-managed not-for-profit corporation that organizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride events in New York City. It welcomes the participation of all, regardless of age, creed, gender, gender identification, HIV status, national origin, physical, mental or developmental ability, race, religion or sexual origin.
Many events took place this week and will take place this week-end as well: parties, fairs, shows, and of course the March.
The first March was held in 1970 and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to the illness, violence and neglect. It is also a celebration of our lives and our community.
The March will start at 12pm on June 24th 2012 at 36th Street & 5th Ave, to end at Christopher & Greenwich Streets
Will you be in NYC this week-end ? I will 🙂

This is the first time I’ve missed Pride in NYC in YEARS and I’m sad about it. Other obligations prevent me from going. I can’t believe I’m going to miss the Pier Dance*sigh*.
Shake a tail feather for me Dave!
i long to go to NYC Pride, love NYC and the men there are by far some of the most intellectual and non-pretentious men i’ve met. unfortunately i’m stuck in San diego, which is the exact opposite. LOVE NYC!!!!

I usually march with a strange group called American Veterans for Equal Rights. 🙂
