Music : 2011 American Music Awards

Last night was the 2011 American Music Awards on ABC with amazing performances from JLo, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Bieber and many more. One of my favorite performances was JLo’s, who rocked the room with 2 songs and 3 costume changes in 4 minutes. Katy Perry was also amazing, a very simple performance with nice light effects and her voice was great! Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5 also did something interested even though I didn’t like Christina’s “costume” lacking in class for a heavy girl (lol).

The prestigious award for artist of the year went to Taylor Swift (strangely…) even if everybody was expecting Katy Perry to win as she is the first women in music history to have five #1 singles from the same album. The AMA gave her a special award for this achievement and probably also to help her swallow the pill.
