News: Bin Laden… dead!
If you live on another planet, we just wanted to let you know that in a late-night announcement from the White House, President Obama informed the entire world that Osama Bin Laden, the founder of al Qaeda and definitely the most infamous figure in the 21st Century, was killed on May 1st by American forces in Pakistan.
« Tonight I can report to the American people and the world that the United States has carried out an operation that has resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden, » Obama said from the White House.

If this is true and not a scam to get a vote for his upcoming elections…. Why would they bury his body at sea instead of letting the nation see it? It just makes no sense. And if you don’t know what I am talking about go to CNN.com and read all about it and how his body got “buried at sea”. What a croc of shit. Also if Bin Laden is dead the war should be over and the boys should be coming home. Why didn’t he mention that in his speech…or did he???? Lets get real people don’t let the bull grab you by the balls.
Ok..good to know that he was killed but it doesn’t mean that terrorism will end cuz of that. Im pretty sure that his successors will retaliate, with that, we should stay alert, observant and vigilant.

I want to thank President Obama for keeping his inaugural promise of capturing or killing Osama bin Laden. All American should congratulate him as Commander in Chief of getting the job done regardless of time. There are naysayers here who think it was a cheap trick for votes, how little they think of our national security. I think if you listen to his speeches you will remember he pledge to end the war soon in Afganistan and Iraq. I expect he will keep that promise. Additionally this could not been done without the help of Pakistan. So regardless of how you feel about President Obama, let’s give him some credit and respect.

Matt, we all love a conspiracy, but let’s not be crazy. They buried him at sea for a few reasons:
1.) To prevent giving the terrorists a place on American soil to target.
2.) To prevent giving the terrorists a place on international soil to target.
3.) So that his body may never be found and martyred (sp).
4.) So that they could find a way to adhere to muslim customs. The irony is that they used Bin Laden’s body to combat the idea that the west hates the muslim religion, the message that Bin Laden lived and ultimately died to spread.

First I think that no one should be either happy or sad for the dead of Bin laden because even though he was the master mind under the 911 attack and he deserved it, if we were to celebrate the dead of a man, we’re no different than him or his partners in crime, cause Im sure that’s how they celebrated when they attacked on 911. Second, for those who says that Obama are taking the credit for the killing of Bin Laden, watch the video again. He only said that he received information about the whereabouts of BinLaden and that he gave the order so our army could go and capture him (dead or alive). Also remember, BinLaden was the head of the AlQaeda group, who planned and gave the order for the 911 attack but not the one who personally did it and still everyone wanted him personally dead, therefore, if Obama is the one who gave the order and planned the capture or killing of BinLaden, he also deserve some credit too. 3rd and last comment, I dont think that by killing BinLaden the war is going to end, or the people of the AlQaeda will stop their madness. Revenge and killing will only generate more revenge and killings. God bless us all!!

@Mat: Are you lost in the clouds or something? Just because Bin Laden is dead, doesn’t mean that terrorism is. Al Queda and all other little terrorist factions are most likely going to seek revenge. The war cannot be over because the military still has Al Queda to fight. You need to wake up, get a brain, or something…or stop commenting on things you have no understanding of! President Obama made a good call when he decided how the mission should be executed…smart move!!! Too bad Bush said that he wasn’t worried about where Bin Laden was anymore. The burial at sea makes sure 1)he was buried in accordance to Muslim laws before sun set and 2) makes sure that his burial ground does not become a place of worship for his believers.

Oh yes, now that Bin Laden is dead (if you believe that) now there is going to be everlasting peace in the Middle East, and everything is going to go back to normal. PLEASE! This war is not not will ever be over. There is far too much turmoil and tension in these countires for the US to police and attempt to elimintate 24/7. Besides, do you remember feeling any greater sense of peace when Hussein was killed? I’m not seeing that Homeland Security Advisory System going down to ‘Low’ all of a sudden. Was killing Bin Laden about getting back for 9/11? And if it was, do all the people who lost their loved ones feel like justice has been served? Probably not. We have invested so much fear and hate into this man that now that he is dead we think that it is all just going to go away. The fact that Bin Laden is dead means so much less that we want it to. Peace is not attained through chaos and victory, sadly is not ours because this war is far from over. Why? Because our bruised egos won’t let us stop.

Obama took the right decision and am not sorry at all that Osama has been killed. The asked for it, they wanted war, you cannot complaint if you get what you asked for.

Don’t bash the conspiracy theories.. they are intriguing and do have a basis. For example, why the announcement at 11:30pm? If they had time to the DNA verification and burial, the announcement could have waited until the next day during the day. It was definitely an intelligent political move on Obama’s part to do it in the evening.. it’ll help his ratings substantially even though he clearly didn’t ready over his speech before he presented it.
HONESTLY, HIM BEING DEAD DOESN’T SOLVE THE PROBLEMS THAT THIS COUNTRY AND OTHER COUNTRIES ARE GONNA FACE WORLD WIDE.
